Vladimir Medvedev

Born on February 16, 1988 in Moscow, Vladimir Medvedev took up photography when he was 16. Since then he has been spending much of his free time taking pictures. Upon entering the Moscow Academy of Finance and Industry, he started working as a photographer there. Later he worked as a TV camera operator in the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company (VGTRK). After graduating from the Academy in 2010, he returned there to work as Head of Photography Department.

He is mostly interested in wildlife photography and travel photography. Over the last 4 years he has organised photo-expeditions to Mongolia. Following these expeditions, he authored a photo album “Wildlife World: Wonderful Mongolia”, published under the auspices of the tourist agency “Long Holidays”.

Vladimir has also collaborated with a number of Russian reserves and several magazines. Together with photographer Sergei Osipov he established a Club for Wildlife Photographers.  He has repeatedly got to the finals and has been a prizewinner of the photography contest “Gold Turtle”. He has had several personal photo exhibitions.
